I’ve gotten a lot of questions recently about Swine Flu and my thoughts on “health care” via Facebook and e-mail.
Rather than read my own take, here are some links that express my views well, and in some cases much better than I could have, had I written my own content on the subjects.
“Health Care”

Excellent, excellent read. Do not skip this one.
To a slightly lesser extent, this is also a great read
Whole Foods and the Healthcare Uprising

All articles from Primal Wisdom (Don Matesz). Better read collectively than selectively.

On a different but not entirely unrelated note, this is hilarious.
I think I remember you saying in a previous post how excited you were for your next weight lifting session because you were so close to leg pressing some number. So I thought you might be interested…
Last night I went to the gym after having not gone in about four to five months. The only “exercise” I’ve done is walking up stairs on campus. The last time I went, I leg-pressed about 760. Last night I was able to do 800. And that was after a two-day fast.
Carly I was excited for my recent workout since I planned on filming it and posting it up on my Youtube account for everyone to view. Unfortunately I did not have anyone available to film it this time around =(, despite having a great workout.
Soon =)
As for leg pressing, there was a point in time I was using a MedX Legpress and pushing some ridiculous numbers… it’s been a while though. I’ve been using a smith machine to squat for many months now.
Kick ass weight though. What type of machine was it? Most don’t even go that high.

The machine I use uses air compression. (I like it because I can decrease the load and do a couple more reps without having to lose tension in my legs.) It was pretty accurate back when I was pressing only 600, but I guess there’s always the chance that it’s not quite so accurate at 800. I’ll have to wait a couple weeks before I can test myself against a plate-loaded machine. (I’m still blissfully unable to walk to full capacity.
) But yeah, I might have to put in a request to my health club that they put more plates on a machine because I was pretty close to its limit the last time I checked.
apparently the patent for the H1N1 virus was taken out in 2007…..http://cafr1.com/H1N1.html
Glaxo smith klien is making $8 per vaccine here in canada, profits are said to be over 4 billion…great scam.
