I've been reading your blog for a good portion of today.

Your committment to rationalism, exercise safety (man do I have experience with doing it the wrong way), and actual humility about your speaking abilities was touching.

I re-wrote my entire and before now theoretical soon-to-be implemented healthfulness "blueprint" from scratch after reading what you wrote about learning from -- but not blindly mimicking -- our ancestors.

Huge freakin' distinction.

Then I literally gave a, "Whoop!" out loud and said to myself, "He's a thinker," after reading:

<blockquote>"I’d like someone to speak about “global warming”. TED has presented only one side of this theory (Al Gore non-sense)..."</blockquote>

I agree. In any case right or wrong you have the self-confidence and courage to think for yourself, Mr. Johnson, and I respect that.

Thanks man. And I agree, a lot of good things would come if people ate better. Not sure about the population decrease... but "good" things none the less (such as hundreds of billions less spent on preventable diseases).

Well, I think Mark would be really interesting if taken away from his own marketing game and into yours.

We should all think more about what an impact our style of eating would have if EVERYBODY decided to take it up.

I predict a massive population decrease. I mean, you know, it's not going to happen any time soon but if you ever wanted to see a competition involving survival of the fittest...

One thing I'll give Mark, he does a lot to promote proper diet.

Anyhow, good luck on finding a speaker.

Didn't think of it that way before, excellent point. Maybe I haven't given Mark enough credit?....hmmm

@Halffull

My only problem with this is teetering on the path of trying to please everyone (and as a result, pleasing no one). As far as I am concerned, exercise and nutrition are more "science" based than dating,relationships, and so on. Because of this, you will likely never see anyone who has views contradicting my own, unlike the field of success with women, which I believe to be less rigid when searching for "truth" (and will gladly bring speakers in who I do not agree with).

Regarding exercise and nutrition specifically, you will see people who do not agree with me 100%, that have their own views and think for themselves, yes, but I am not interested in finding people to puppet my ideas, only a search for the truth.

This year we have (thus far)

Doug Mcguff (barring unforseen circumstances)
Drew Baye
Bill De Simone

Speaking on exercise. I have disagreements with all of them, but collectively, their work is the basis of what I have personally decided on, for me, regarding exercise.

I'm doubting I'll bring in anyone else on exercise, as those 3 are quite literally, some of the top "authorities" on exercise, on the planet (from my research).

I would like to find one or two people to speak on nutrition specifically though, rather than asking Doug to touch on it. No luck thus far however.

I'd love to see some alternative views on nutrition and exercise to those you hold, seems silly to get only one perspective when there are so many others out there, all with a boatload of evidence.

If you invite Mark, yeah, he'll educate. It really depends on the recipient if the information creates waves or controversy. It's not controversial to you because you know it.

You could set the theme though to help direct it. For example, a talk about how a real global shift to primal diet might affect the population base and global warming, etc.

Good luck.

@Crash

Ya I read The Revolution just a few weeks ago...excellent book, although I'm liking The Real Lincoln even better.

Who's Sean Stephenson? Sounds familiar.

Ron Paul is not exactly libertarian nor exactly Republican which is the party he is associated with.

Ronpaul.com, www.house.gov/paul/ has info to make a good judgement.

Ron Paul Revolution

you should see if you can get Sean Stephenson
