Wealth is a Product of Man’s Mind

Wealth is a Product of Man’s Mind

If “it’s not about the girl, it’s about YOU” is one of the most profound ideas I have ever come across in my understanding of male/female relationships, “wealth is a product of man’s mind” is the corollary in business/entrepreneurship.

Since the day I heard this statement, which wasn’t that long ago, money has been 100x more abundant. Which is a term I am a bit queasy about because it is typically spouted off by mystics and irrationalists, but never the less, money has been flying at me since I heard this quote and grasped it’s meaning.

It’s meaning being that man’s mind is the source of all good in the world. “Wealth” as we know it is an expression and logical, subsequent offshoot of this.

In another sense, a la The Fountainhead, “man’s ego is the fountainhead of human progress”.

So, wealth is a product of man’s mind, but how exactly does this translate into more fiat dollars in your pocket?

Easy: making this…

Why I’m Not an Objectivist

Why I’m Not an Objectivist

For quite some time now — in fact, as far back as I can remember — I have never once said that I am an objectivist, when asked. I have consistently answered though (such as on the Free the Animal blog), that “I am Howard Roark”.

But what exactly does that mean — to not label myself an objectivist, all the while claiming that “I am Howard Roark”?

While this answer has been appealing to me for some time, it was only a few weeks ago that I came to understand what the hell I meant by this.

The understanding unfolded itself to me when I heard that Ayn Rand was once asked, in regards to The Fountainhead, why it’s main character Howard Roark, not only chose to, but had to wait for his ideal woman to see the world the way he did — to hold his convictions on the deepest of levels as her own.

Why was it that Howard Roark waited instead of simply explaining to Dominique Francon what…

It’s Not About the Girl … It’s About YOU

It’s Not About the Girl … It’s About YOU

I got a question via Facebook yesterday. The question format isn’t uncommon – essentially asking about how to get this “one” girl, what to do, how to talk to her, how to behave, etc, etc.

Dating coaches get this kind of stuff all of the time.

And while I am not a dating coach of any kind or sort, I’ll go right ahead and say that one of the most important ideas I have ever come across in my understanding of male/female relationships, is that it’s not about her, it’s about you.

So much so that it would be and is accurate to say — IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HER, and everything to do with you.

That’s right. It’s about what YOU think, what you feel, what you want, what you admire, what you value, what you JUDGE — in every regard imaginable.

And what I mean by “it” is your own happiness, and your own actualized success in the intimate/romantic arena of your life. The girl…

Is the General Population Really that Weak? … Yikes

Is the General Population Really that Weak? … Yikes

Picture of me eating loads of fat.

~~~
Today’s post is just a quick story. I “donated” blood for the first time in my life today. I tried to yesterday, but I wasn’t permitted to because, to the horror of the nurse staff, I had “skipped” breakfast and lunch, not to mention, had an early dinner the night before (and I was naive enough to tell the truth about my last meal time).
Of course, I did no such thing. I haven’t thought of my meals as “breakfast” “lunch” and “dinner” in many months, if not over a year now. I eat once per day usually, with occasional snacks some days of the week. It is entirely normal for me to go 15+ hours eating very little, if anything at all.
I even went 36 hours in 2010 on 300 calories worth of home made pemmican. I experienced zero ill side effects — meanwhile, my two friends were constantly hungry,  and borderline ravenous when we finally stopped to camp for the evening…
8/30/11 High Intensity Workout of the Week
No pictures, no video, just basic discussion of my most recent workout. Click the links for video/product fun.
8/30/11
  • Wall sit: 110lbs x 2/54 seconds
  • horizontal leg press: 390/107 seconds  41 reps
  • Nautilus chest press: 220lbs/44 seconds  11 reps
  • Nautilus pullover: 210/53 seconds  11 reps
  • curls: 35×2/NA  7 reps
  • single arm tricep press: 25lb  L=9  R=8  (reps)
  • single leg heel raise: 75lb  L=11 R =11 (reps)
  • mae forearm curls: 25lb, to failure each arm
  • Heavy grip work
  • lower back flex
Point 1: I have a bad left knee. For a while I was doing a wall sit followed by reverse lunges. This worked well for a time, but eventually my knee did not agree — post workout. Strange “creaks and cracks” occurred — time to call it quits. So far as I could tell that effect stemmed from the lunges, not the wall sit.
My suspicion proved correct: I maintained the wall sit and now use the best leg press I have access to — which is basically a pile of junk, but it works for…
Paying Homage to the ARX Fit Omni
Paying Homage to the ARX Fit Omni
For reasons I can’t fully explain, I feel inclined to honor this machine, which the picture above does in a very basic sense. And what machine is that?
The ARX Fit Omni machine, unveiled for the first time ever at The 21 Convention 2011 of Orlando Florida.
Obviously, I think highly of this machine. But it’s much more than that. This machine I think is a sort of last stand against a world of irrationality and widespread stupidity.
A “last stand” because this machine, along with the medical/commercial CZT line, are a representation of the best and highest in what it is to be an American in spirit, if not in birth as well.
  • creativity
  • innovation
  • independence
  • reason
  • revolution…
In an industry flooded with imbeciles like Jilian Michaels, Tony Horton, beach balls, “cardio classes”, ZUMBA, and shake weights — we also have this.
We have a giant leap forward in exercise technology not seen since the likes of Arthur Jones. And we don’t just have a physical product of man’s mind…
Why DragonBall Z is so Amazing
Why DragonBall Z is so Amazing
I’m quite sure there is discussion elsewhere of more depth than what I am about to go into, largely thanks to James Steele and his find of Anime and Philosophy (which I have not yet read). Never the less, I have my own ideas about why the anime series Dragonball Z is so incredible, so amazing, and so inspiring to many of us.
My ideas can be reduced to two fundamental points about the series.
1. The series in it’s entirety is a relentless display, depiction, and expression of the hero in man’s soul. Time and again, virtually every character of significance in the series goes through the greatest of trials, pushes past his pre-conceived limits, and reaches ever greater depths of his own potential.
The characters consistently face odds that at face value, appear insane to even consider fighting against. Yet, throughout the entire series, the fighters choose, when no other options are presented to them, life in the face of death.
They choose…
My Experience Meeting the Greatest Man Living: Ron Paul
My Experience Meeting the Greatest Man Living: Ron Paul
I had seen Ron Paul speak in person once previously, at the 2010 Florida Liberty Summit. I however, missed the opportunity to meet him on the Saturday of that event.
Not so in 2011. I made damn sure I would be present at the event, no matter the cost, as well as the “liberty breakfast” where attendees would have a chance to meet Ron, take pictures, get autographs, etc.
Indeed, I got a chance to meet Ron, briefly speak with him, take a few pictures, get his signature, and invite him to The 21 Convention 2012 of Austin Texas (via his chief campaign manager seen in the background of the above photo).
~~~

So what was is like meeting the greatest man living?

It was unforgettable to say the least. Ron Paul, by my judgement, is the greatest man alive. He is the embodiment of  the hero in man’s soul. He is, a living legend. There is no one else alive I cared more to meet and shake hands with — the…

Friction is his Fuel: Why Ron Paul Will Win the Presidency

Friction is his Fuel: Why Ron Paul Will Win the Presidency

So far as I can discern, most TDL readers, if not virtually all of you, support Ron Paul in one form or another. Many of you support him, I think, as much as I do — fully and completely (in spite of certain views that many of us do not agree with at all).

Fully and completely because his pros heavily, HEAVILY, outweigh his cons.

Not everyone is as certain as I am about his win in the coming election. Hell, many are still curious to see whether or not he will claim the republican nomination.

Yet, I have stated time and again that while there are no guarantees, his success is not only “possible”, but imminent.

Why is this? Why do I hold this with such certainty?

Well, it took some time for me to understand, and even more time to articulate — and now it’s time to share what I have learned.

The reason Ron Paul already has this in the bag.

~~~
That reason is this: Ron Paul, like myself, uses friction as a fuel,…
