Self Doubt

Self-doubt is a tender subject. I suspect this is because most people aren’t especially fond of looking introspectively and clearly stating “I am unsure of myself, of my future, and of my decisions.”, when that is in fact the case.

Correspondingly, I think we do not generally appreciate the level of self-doubt those we admire experience, or experienced during their life time (if they are now dead). We do not appreciate it because we are quite often, only seeing the tip of the ice berg of that individual, in their work, in their writing, in their speaking, in their actions, etc …

We don’t see the long nights that individual spent alone, teetering on a nervous breakdown, crying, head spinning, feeling utterly alienated from the world, having something akin to a never ending panic attack.

Both before and after tremendous success, and sometimes, completely independent and irrelevant of it – for no apparent reason at all maybe.

~~~
This is the kind of self-doubt I am speaking of in the title…
Video Blog | The Psychology of Romantic Love Introduction & Discussion
This is a short video blog I did with the CFO of The 21 Convention on The Psychology of Romantic Love (buy it on Amazon). Just a basic introduction and discussion of the book, which itself demands much more discussion and consideration, because it’s a truly remarkable book that has not gotten enough press during it’s publishing lifetime.
Comments welcome on the video blog format, which I am entirely new to.
Bowflex Killer — World Premiere of the ARX Fit Omni Machine
It’s finally here, the world premiere of the ARX Fit Omni Machine - also known as the bowflex killer. Come one, come all, see how the world’s most advanced home exercise machine works in action with a live audience, and as supervised/operated by Keith Norris.
Per the video description…
Keith Norris, physical culturalist, author, and general manager at Efficient
Exercise (Austin Texas), gives the world premiere of the ARX Fit Omni
Machine at The 21 Convention 2011 of Orlando, Florida, united States of America.
The ARX Fit Omni © is a revolutionary new home-exercise machine that
employs motorized resistance across a wide range of movements, providing
a perfectly (and uniquely) matched strength curve across a complete — or
limited — range of motion.
Called “the bowflex killer” by 21 Convention architect and founder Anthony
Dream Johnson, the ARX Fit Omni © machine is making waves in the universe of
proper exercise, strength training, and sport performance.
Supplying a level of effectiveness, efficiency, safety, and intensity found in no
other machine in the world, the ARX Fit Omni may…
The Announcement: A New Blog, and a New Book
The Announcement: A New Blog, and a New Book
I mentioned a “big announcement” not long ago, but I hardly alluded to what it would or could be. Well today I don’t reveal all, but I will reveal a fundamental chunk.
That chunk is this: I am removing a topic from this blog, and using it to spark an entirely new one (a new blog).
Yet, the blog is only one component of the announcement. The other is that this new blog will (initially)  be built for the sole purpose of acting as a spring board for a book I am going to complete.
The book itself being a concrete starting point for my political philosophy, which I’ve had to create because all of the ones that exist are at best incomplete, and at worst, anti-political (and I am not referring to various forms of anarchy).
The same way self-sacrifice is not a form of morality, but is in fact anti-morality.
The same way  religion is not so much a primitive form of philosophy, but anti-philosophy.
These positions are awarded the prefix “anti” because they…
ARX Fit Omni World Premiere Airs November 16th
ARX Fit Omni World Premiere Airs November 16th
The ARX Fit Omni World Premiere airs November 16th at 5am EST on The21Convention.com in 720p HD. At just under an hour long — and with paleosphere Incredible Hulk Keith Norris at the helm — the video is set to shatter eyeballs, shift tectonic plates, and otherwise, change the world as we know it.
Especially in the universe of rational, proper exercise.
Why?
Because the ARX Fit Omni is the ultimate, most technologically advanced home exercise machine the world has ever seen.
Providing more state of the art motorized resistance than any human being on the planet is capable of of surpassing, the ARX Fit Omni home exercise machine is the ultimate bowflex killer, supplying the perfect strength-curve-matched resistance for every inch, of every exercise, of any range of motion desired for a particular movement.
The ARX Fit Omni sets the stage for the ideal, most efficient and effective, full body, utterly safe, home workout imaginable.
There is and has never been anything else like it in the entire world, and…
Secession: A Uniquely American Principle
The term “secession” today is strongly associated with inbred rednecks, racist KKK members, and “neo-confederates” who would like to revive the Confederate States of America. Yet, as Ron Paul points out, secession is a uniquely American principle. I say uniquely because the most successful secession in human history was the original secession of the American States — which quite literally resulted in the first American Civil War.
We aren’t fond of calling the American Revolution a civil war, but indeed, it was the first American Civil War, and it ended with complete independence from Great Britain for 13 independent countries, also known as States at the time — which is very different from the sub-unit we’ve come to associate the term state with today in America.
In any case, I would like to take it one step further than Ron Paul and point out that there was no other time in American history when secession was considered so evil, so…
Things to Check Out: A New Book, a New Movie, and a New Blog
Things to Check Out: A New Book, a New Movie, and a New Blog
Soon enough, because of upcoming big announcements, the title of this post is going to sound a little eerie, but I promise, it’s merely coincidence.
Today’s post being just a quick glimpse over a new book, a new DVD, and a new blog I’ve come across that I think you should check out.
The new movie is Atlas Shrugged Part 1. I bought the blu-ray version yesterday, and thanks to Amazon Prime, it will arrive on release day. It should be noted that this is the first DVD I’ve purchased in almost 3 years. And, actually, it’s not for me. It’s a gift for my girlfriend, who did not see it in theaters like I did. Granted, I’ll be watching it the same day it arrives with her all the same.
Worth $20?
Yes. The movie has its faults, but this does not change the fact that the characters of Atlas Shrugged are brought to life pretty damn accurately, which is by far, the most important…
Entrepreneurship Interview
Entrepreneurship Interview
I don’t typically get asked to do entrepreneurship interviews, but I think in part due to my age, questions in that area often come up. Well, Hugo is starting an entrepreneurship blog, and I was the first to be interviewed.
Having just moved in to a new house — I now have an office, how cool is that? — I admittedly felt unprepared/unfocused for the interview specifically, but thanks to a Google Calendar reminder, I was online, on time, and ready to go for Hugo, who asked great questions.
Watch the interview here.
