Three Dichotomies that Will Change Your Life

Three Dichotomies that Will Change Your Life

This was my opening speech at The 21 Convention 2011 of Orlando Florida. It was the last speech I will ever give in Orlando at The 21 Convention (unless and until I decide to return the event there). It is also the last speech I will ever given at the dawn of The 21 Convention. Going forward I will be only making an appearance, and then letting the show get on a roll of it’s own.

Will I continue to speak? Certainly. However, not only am I not the best speaker, but I want to tackle more specific subjects that would not necessarily make sense coming from me, right at the open of an event.

Some subjects that are especially interesting to me are romantic love, declarationism, the ideal man, morality, self-esteem, and the philosophical/meta-physical foundations of proper exercise, nutrition, and healthy living.

For all the chatter done by the paleo community, it’s far too rare I see anyone mention “nature to be commanded is…

The Psychology of Entrepreneurship 2.0

The Psychology of Entrepreneurship 2.0

Matt Hussey is at it again. The young man I judge to be the “Anthony Robbins” of our generation. View it on Youtube here in 720p HD and don’t miss out on the first edition of this speech. If you enjoy it and find value in it make sure to “like” it on Youtube, and if you really want to support the video, add it to your favorites list on Youtube (this helps more than anything). You can also +1 it on Google Plus, and of course, tweet or share it on Facebook.

~~~
It’s worth mentioning here that Matt is much, much younger than he appears and sounds, and is extremely successful. (He has his own TV show coming out this year — for one).
In light of this, don’t let anyone ever question you and your goals because you’re young. Age has nothing to do the facts of reality, or discovering them as such. In fact I would go so far to…
How many bullets have you dodged eating and living properly?
How many bullets have you dodged eating and living properly?
A close friend recently went under the knife. To what? To have their gallbladder removed. My non-medical recommendation of course was to avoid surgery for at least a month while eating nothing but real, awesome food.
Her trainer, none other than the legendary Drew Baye, was of the same/similar opinion (from my understanding, have not spoken to Drew about it).
Her doctor of course said he, and “everyone else”, “had no idea” what caused her gallbladder to completely cease functioning.
Which is naturally, complete bull shit.
I’m a 23 year old college drop out that failed biology as a freshman and I know exactly what caused her gallbladder to “break” – eating a shit load of wheat, corn, soybean, and rapeseed oil her entire life.
Among other strange substances posing as food for the bulk of her diet.
25+ years of this and it’s a wonder her gallbladder lasted as long as it did. It also leaves one to wonder what future ailments await my friend. Most likely,…
Contrarian Interpersonal Relationships (preview)
Contrarian Interpersonal Relationships (preview)
Aside from my opening speech, this was the first speech given at The 21 Convention 2011 of Orlando Florida (click the screenshot to view a preview). It was my personal favorite of the entire conference, because I found so much value in it relevant to where I am at in my personal development as of right now, it was hard to even fully digest at the time. In fact I watched it 7 times over in the course of a week once I got a hold of the full version. It was that amazing.
Consequently, and thanks to further discussions with Socrates via phone, his ideas (if not the sum of his entire mindset on male/female relationships)  in very large part produced the result of me starting my first relationship with a woman who is absolutely incredible, less than a month after the speech was physically given and filmed at the event.
In light of this, the introduction I give Sock is almost eerie in this…
Contradictory Armchair Philosophizing
Geoff is a particularly interesting commenter and fellow blogger, because he is highly intelligent, and yet, with remarkable (if not flawless) consistency, contradicts himself at every turn. And I mean every turn. Whether it’s his reductionist/mechanist view of human nature, rejection of consciousness as a form of mysticism, his maximist (and subsequently self-destructive) ideal of government, or best of all, the notion that morality requires immorality — which is an impossibility, making morality impossible to man, revealing the root of Geoff’s flawlessly contradictory “philosophizing”.
A fundamentally malevolent view of man, of existence, and of life on earth.
Geoff’s entire “sense of life”, is itself, in perpetual contradiction. Nothing can make sense to Geoff except as in alignment with his sense of life and view of existence, which is contradictory in itself. Meaning, everything to Geoff, must be contradictory.
For any one thing to exist not in contradiction, would reverse Geoff’s entire notion of “reality”, which in his case, is anti-reality. Further meaning, abstracts and concretes are only intelligible so long as…
Response to reader Alex
Response to reader Alex
I received the following comment the other day (link).
Anthony I usually do not comment, as well, I am on my iPhone. But this struck such a chord with me that I had to express my appreciation.
I often think that I will not be able to fully appreciate my father until he dies because I am so stuck in my ways, and he in his, that to expect that our relationship could evolve is too hopeful and will simply leave me more heartbroken once he passes.
Watching you on video I can tell we are both introverted individuals and if you’re like me I’m guessing you haven’t always found it easy to express deep feelings (I am terrible at this but I need to get better ASAP). So I ask you as someone who I relate to: if you knew what you knew today, how would your relationship with curtis look different were you to have the opportunity to talk to him now?
Were there things you never said to…
Florida’s #1 Blogger Absolutely Supports Ron Paul for President — calls all other candidates “complete imbeciles”, with the exception of Gary Johnson
Florida’s #1 Blogger Absolutely Supports Ron Paul for President — calls all other candidates “complete imbeciles”, with the exception of Gary Johnson
I spent 5 minutes of my life today coming to the conclusion that I am Florida’s #1 blogger. I was subsequently awarded this title by Florida based limited liability company, The 21 Convention LLC, of which, I am the CEO, president, and founder. Which means that I have awarded myself this title. I have awarded myself this title based on the following standards,
1. Floridian first
I am “more Florida” than any other blogger in the State. Hell, I am “more Florida” than governor Rick Scott. I am so Floridian, that when I travel to foreign countries, my first statement in regards to my location of origin is that I am a “Floridian”. I rarely explain further, because no further explanation seems necessary. Why?
Because I am a Floridian first, and American second, always have been, and always will be.
Born 1988 in South West Florida, and raised until adult hood in the Cape Coral/Fort Myers area, I am son to Alfred E. Johnson, born in Miami (1956), making me not only a…
Feed the Beast
I came across a subtitle in a book today for a section on the nature of reason and rationality. The subtitle was “Reason: The NonContradictory Integration of Experience”.
I found the subtitle pretty profound, and it made me think of The 21 Convention. In particular, the concept of integration, as well as experience.
The 21 Convention being both the integration of knowledge into a construct of my own design, and a real life, in person experience held at various times throughout the year.
A convention for men of the mind. A convention for the young Howard Roarks, Steven Mallorys, Hank Reardens, John Galts, and perhaps even, Dagny Taggarts of the world.
In any case, integrating is exactly the process occurring at the events. Every speech given by every speaker contributes to The 21 Convention in and of itself, specifically because the speeches are recorded, and subsequently, add to the sum of knowledge produced by me and the speakers, through the events.
While maybe strange to some to think of in this way, I find…
