This is another short post, one where I will make a very simple and very brief point.
We live in a bizzaro world at present.
Here is an example: you can watch every episode of the widely popular Dr. Oz show ever recorded, and read all of his books — which are into the dozens from what I’m seeing on Amazon — and, on top of that, read/watch every thing by our other fitness and health lords of the day — including but not limited to Jillian Michaels and Tony Horton — and learn absolutely nothing beneficial to your life.
Not only will the sum of your knowledge not increase in the positive/reality based direction, you will actively drive your mind in reverse.
Reading/watching their intellectual finger painting escapades will actually make you dumber, and if you actually implement what they advise, the quality of your life will measurably decrease.
What’s wrong with this picture?
A. Millions of people are reading/watching this bullshit on a consistent basis.
B. Millions of people are paying for information of no value — ie getting ripped off.
C. The above lords of exercise/nutrition bizzaro world, combined, are raking in wealth by the tens of millions of fiat dollars.
In other words, legitimate wealth, in the form of an illegitimate currency, is being driven to what has absolutely no value.
Meanwhile, you can drop $84.99, a few hours of your time, and learn more about the facts of reality pertaining to exercise and nutrition than in an entire lifetime of learning from those knuckleheads.
In fact, if you spent 5 minutes watching just one of those DVDs, you will learn more than in 5 hours of watching Dr. Oz.
Somebody pinch me.
