Mark Sisson and Doug McGuff MD Interviewed by Dr. Mercola

As you might guess, both are great. I’ve since invited Dr. Mercola to The 21 Convention. While I was not able to get in touch with him directly, I did get in contact with his press agent. Highly interested at first due to both Mark and Doug being alumni speakers, but lost interest when he found out there was not going to be ~500 people at the event. This is highly irrelevant long term due to the high quality video production + online video distribution, but this is almost impossible to explain to people not intimately familiar with web video.

It’s tantamount to explaining how detrimental minimum wage laws are to the poor, or explaining why corporate tax is an illusion to an OWS protester. I may or may not try to get in contact with Dr. Mercola directly, who I think would be a great speaker. I especially like how much he hates — and rightfully so — the FDA.

Entrepreneurship Interview

I don’t typically get asked to do entrepreneurship interviews, but I think in part due to my age, questions in that area often come up. Well, Hugo is starting an entrepreneurship blog, and I was the first to be interviewed.

Having just moved in to a new house — I now have an office, how cool is that? — I admittedly felt unprepared/unfocused for the interview specifically, but thanks to a Google Calendar reminder, I was online, on time, and ready to go for Hugo, who asked great questions.

Radio Interview on WGN Chicago

This is a radio interview I did on WGN Chicago last week just before The 21 Convention 2011 of Orlando Florida. Unexpected and last minute as it was I think this is the biggest bit of media exposure I have ever had — and the best I have ever performed in. The host, Bill Less, asks some really, really good questions, and in spite of the proximity to the live event and corresponding level of stress I was under during that time, I nailed every single one just the way I wanted to.

Topics that prelude future posts on TDL in this interview include psychological mirrors, the ideal man, and romantic love and intimate relationships.

DayGame Podcast Round 2

We did this podcast just a few days before I left London for Florida at the DayGame global headquarters. As you can see, the podcasting setup Andy has is pretty ridiculous. The content of this podcast is even more ridiculous (literally in this case, because we had a blast doing it).

Free the Beast

I did an interview with Richard Nikoley of Free the Animal the day after my house was robbed and shotgun stolen. It’s on video. Yayyyyyy. Richard also discusses his speaking engagement at The 21 Convention in Orlando Florida this summer, and how that confirmation came to be (which includes the reading of this blog).

ps — funny story, Richard called me only minutes after I called the police that night to discuss the interview and speaking. I answered, and was so stressed from the incident I couldn’t even recall who “Richard” was. I told him he had the wrong number and was about to hang up when he made it clear that it was Richard Nikoley, which even then, took me a second to remember. From what I understand this is due to the adrenaline rush from the robbery, drawing my handgun, etc. Keep this in mind if police are ever questioning you and wondering why you can’t recall every tiny detail from an incident that happened only minutes or even hours prior (since as far as I understand this is common if not universal after such events).

Most TDL readers are familiar with The Community Tapes [Volume 1] six episode documentary series. What most are not familar with however, is what was written for the back cover of the DVD version.

The Community Tapes are on DVD + Orlando News

Ah how I long to rant and rave about nutrition, exercise, travel, government, politics, guns, and freedom.

That time is soon coming, but right now it’s crunch time for The 21 Convention. As such, I have managed to push through a first run production of The Community Tapes on DVD that is being manufactured as we speak by the DVD elves of Orlando.

Above is the graphic art for the cover produced by a one Matthew Macar. Matthew is new to still graphic work for T21C (he did not produce the previous event DVD artwork), but he is familar with the convention.

He worked heavily on the event trailer for T21C 2009.
He worked as an assisant on the live event for 2009.
He single handedly filmed The 21 Convention 2010 of Stockholm Sweden.
And he filmed the first three episodes of The Community Tapes [Volume 2].

The DVDs will be shipping off this week, and a few dozen copies will be available at the live event in Orlando no later than Friday.

The cost online is $30 plus shipping/handling. At the live event they will be available for a flat rate of $25.

As you guys know the production quality of The Community Tapes is astounding. Total run time of all six episodes is about 3 hours. Not bad for the first volume.

If you’d like to own a copy of the footage, this is your chance to do so.

In other news, today is the last day for tickets to The 21 Convention 2010 of Orlando Florida.

Full access tickets are $400 online, and $500 at the door. There is also a limited access ticket available for $200 online, and $250 at the door. That special access ticket grants you entrance for all health, fitness, and business related presentations (total of 5).

Both tickets grant you advanced free access to all event footage that corresponds with your ticket.

The line up for both tickets is … well, pretty bad ass no matter what your interests are.

Today is also the first day tickets are available for The 21 Convention 2011 (North America). This will be the final “21 Convention” held in Orlando next summer. After that we will be moving to another major North American city.
