Great Podcast!!
Re. the breast milk ice cream. Just another example of government interfering with individual rights. I’m led to believe that the ban was due to ‘health and safety concerns.’
Bullshit!!
It’s because ‘society’ apparently didn’t like the idea of it, despite individual women by their droves volunteering to quite literally donate to help produce it, and numerous individuals, you and myself included being willing to purchase the product. Just government reaction to the grey undefinable blob that is society. I actually spoke to lots of people I know about this and some reacted with something along the lines of ‘ugh, breast milk I couldn’t eat that.’ When asked why they could offer no reason other than ‘it just seems wrong.’ It was enjoyable to continue the discussion to it’s end, asking why they thought it was wrong, for what reasons, explaining that they couldn’t determine that it was wrong without reason, and finally them realising themselves that they had no reason to ‘think’ it was wrong, and that they had not ‘thought’ in the first place. It’s great to see the light suddenly switch on in their minds at this point.
Labelling its ban as due to health and safety is ridiculous on another level. So it’s fine to sell ice cream made from UHT ‘milk’ from another species all together, but when it comes to milk that we have actually been consuming for millions of years, well obviously thats gonna kill us.
Breastmilk is for BABIES. Wanting it @ THIS age is simply a perverse fantasy. I wouldn’t TOUCH that shit. Ewww. What if it comes from an obese woman (;
What if it comes from an obese cow? As least human breast milk was made for humans, not baby cows.
Come on Jeff where is god’s bread of glory? It’s boob milk baby!
“What if it comes from an obese cow?”
I worry of this, ALSO. I’m VERY picky about the milk I drink, and the dairy I consume.
Human milk– better come from some sexi fit women, OR I won’t touch it. Def. wouldn’t trust it commercially. (=
The objection doesn’t come from “society,” it comes from people whose own interests would be compromised by the availability of competing products such as breast milk. The same reason the FDA shits on everything that doesn’t come from Merck or Pfizer.
DUDE I listened to the first 28 minutes, the “nutrition” portion of the podcast. AND WOW, these ppl are SOO dumb! It’s just like, your ideas on nutrition are so false and WRONG and based on inconclusive ‘science’.
I had to stop the podcast because what I was hearing was soo stupid. I felt bad for that Andy guy, he’s being tricked like a child by these two idiots, (namely Drew Baye), and I quite honestly felt bad for him.
2 things:
1) Hormones. Yes, carbohydrates affect insulin, and of course, eating TOO much will cause excess production. The TRUTH is, Carbohydrates ARE SUPPOSED to affect insulin! It’s a good thing.
And here’s what they FAIL to mention: Fat affects hormones too. Eating too much will ALSO cause excess hormone secretion. There are SOO manu undiscovered hormones in our bodies that we still don’t know about. To think that ‘insulin’ from carbohydrate is the ONLY concern, is ignorant. WHAT IT COMES DOWN TO IS: Balance. Balance your fats. Balance your carbs. And eat a moderate amount of protein. AND your hormones will be STABLE.
2) Drew recommends replacing Starch (complex-carbohydrates) with green vegetables. WHAT AN IDIOT! Good luck getting enough energy. Starch is a sustained, unique energy source that is REQUIRED for optimal function.
TO CONCLUDE: DON’T buy into to their bullshit. Balance your diet. Cheers,
Jeffrey (=
We have been running on fat as our main source of energy for thousands of years. Our body actually prefers fat as our main source Of energy as it is more stable and does not have a crash and burn cycle like most carbs do. I am not even sure why you post here jay. Why exactly do you?
“We have been running on fat as our main source of energy for thousands of years.”
NO, we haven’t. Modern agriculture has existed since the DAWN of man, roughly 10,000 years. THIS MEANS: Carbohydrates, Fats and Protein.
“Our body actually prefers fat as our main source Of energy as it is more stable and does not have a crash and burn cycle like most carbs do.”
NO, it doesn’t. Our bodies work in unknown ways, and function best with a COMPLETE macronutrient ratio. You can’t compare the two. THEY’RE ENTIRELY different, unique and BOTH required.
“Our bodies work in unknown ways, and function best with a COMPLETE macronutrient ratio.”
You can’t claim something to be unknown and also claim to know how it works. Thats a contradiction. How can you know how something you don’t know works?
It is KNOWN that food provides energy in THREE ways: Carbohydrates, Fats and Proteins.
“Modern agriculture has existed since the DAWN of man, roughly 10,000 years”
Are you honestly saying man i.e. homo sapiens, has only been around for 10,000 years? Seriously?
I think he is… but in other news, this comment is going to have a lot more meaning when that post I mentioned releases =).
Lol Dream knows w up. Before 10,000 yrs, there were only cavemen, NOT homo-sapiens.
#facepalm

It’s NOT about ‘calories’, but rather ingredients. LOOK @ zero-calorie soda. NO calories (NO carb, NO protein, NO fat), yet still negatively affects hormones, and causes undesireabe health effects.
