For those of you who have followed this blog long, or closely enough, you know all to well that I am a massive supporter of Doug and Body by Science — the #1 best seller of all time at The Dream Lounge global headquarters.
With that said, there are three points I want to make in regards to this speech.
1. This was one of, if not the proudest moment of my life.
While I did not think of it in these terms at the time, this was the emotion I was experiencing when Doug took the stage at The 21 Convention.
Pride, to the furthest extent possible — to the full degree.
Why is this?
Because I correctly recognized the “weight” Doug brought to my greatest achievement — the stage of The 21 Convention. In recognizing that tremendous weight — and for the first time in my life — I properly valued the strength of my achievement.
First time in my life because while there have been many great speeches at The 21 Convention, Doug by my judgement, was the first speaker in it’s history to push it to it’s full extent — the first speaker to test it’s limits.
For those familiar with Atlas Shrugged, not unlike the John Galt Line putting Rearden Metal to it’s ultimate test.
And like Rearden Metal, my stage held. This speech is a recording of that test.
2. An intense interest in exercise.
This is a comment made by Doug in the speech. I find it ironic, because it is another way of saying an intense commitment to what is right — while simultaneously being a physical expression of what is right, literally (in the sense of physical activity).
This “intense interest” is something I think is common in the HIT community. Arthur Jones being the quintessential, fountainhead example.
3. The analysis of a screenshot
The image of Doug above, and correspondingly in the video, was not taken by Youtube, and was not chosen arbitrarily. I choose the screenshot to represent each speaker. I make it a priority to be a screenshot that accurately represents the speaker and the entirety of the speech.
I had a lot of trouble in Doug’s case. Then, suddenly, after many failed attempts, I paused the video on this frame, and realized that it appeared Doug was both physically and mentally “flexing” at that exact moment.
I knew right away that it was the perfect choice.

I can not wait to watch this!
Congratz man, you did it.
Don’t stop now.
To the end.
Congratulations. Doug is a sick speaker! Nice bodylanguage, all the explanations and his calm presence… even if somebody is not interested in the content of his speech, its worth to watch his remarkable appearance!
The first ten minutes contains better pickup content than the majority of pickup content out there
I agree.
“Roll the dice gentlemen”.
I just read Nassim Taleb endorsing Doug and Art Devany in his
sequel to The Black Swan.
I couldn’t help but grin.

Now there’s someone I need to send a speaking invite to.
Taleb would be an awesome speaker!!! Get on that!!
