As most of you know, I started living the nomad life just a few months ago. Below is a message I received just before heading to Los Angeles.
Hey Anthony-
Are you just going to be in LA or are you going other places. I’m in Fresno, which is midway between LA and San Fran. If you end up here. You’re welcome to crash out at my pad for a day or two. I’m next to a starbucks and a gym and I’d love to do a HIT with you. (wow that sounds gay haha).
Anyhow, it’s the least I could do because I’ve lost 80 lbs with your advice on diet and HIT.
-Gary K.
I share this because I was awestruck when I read it: someone lost 80 pounds of body fat simply by reading and applying the content of my blog?
Holy ****.
While this is an inspirational example of success in applying the right principles to your physical and dietary habits … it is also an extreme example of discipline, assertiveness, a desire to understand, and immediate execution*.
Because I guarantee you, dropping 80 pounds of body fat was no walk in the park for Gary – and neither is maintaining that radical change in body composition.
Which is where I and Dream Vitality come in.
Partly inspired by Steve Mayeda (TheRedMole.com) and Dj Fuji (TaoofDjFuji.com) – multi-year speakers of The 21 Convention and stars of The Community Tapes – Dream Vitality is a 12 week, one on one training course with me for every aspect of your health, physique, and life I feel qualified to comment on, and that you desire change in.
During those 12 weeks – specifics will be listed below – we will exchange e-mails, speak on the phone, and figure out what works best for your health and goals within the bounds of your current life situation (such as available grocery budget, equipment, work/school schedule, etc).
What Dream Vitality is not is me serving you.
If you do enroll in the course, you must think of me as your business partner – and we are starting a short term business titled “Improving Your Quality of Life, Permanently LLP”.
From Wikipedia …
In an LLP one partner is not responsible or liable for another partner’s misconduct or negligence.
I am your coach, not your mother, father, or babysitter. I am voluntarily providing my time (at cost) to guide you in improving the quality of your life.
Re-read the italics in case you glossed over them – you improve the quality of your life.
You are the one doing the improving – not me. I am the one guiding you through what is difficult , and without a coach or trainer of some kind, a lengthy process.
I have been tinkering with and learning about nutrition for years. I have been eating “paleo” for over 2 years now.
You think my diet looks anything like it did 2 years ago?
Similarly, I have been training in a “high intensity” fashion for two years come this January – and you guessed it, my exercise habits look dramatically different than they did at the beginning.
And that’s only at face value – the specifics of and reasoning for my actions are, in my opinion, dramatically improved, fine tuned, and well developed as compared to their starting points.
Did I have a coach guide me through the intellectual journey that produced the results I now enjoy?
Nope.
Most would probably insert “I wish I did” here, but that proves a conflict of interest for me philosophically, so I’ll just say this – if I did, I would have saved myself a wheelbarrow full of money, and many times that in time, effort, head ache, and stomach ache.
I achieved my current understandings and real world results in the most painfully ineffective and inefficient way possible – almost completely on my own.
While this is not impossible for others to replicate, it is unnecessary – and save those with the sadist mindset, probably undesirable.
#####
In short, I’ve been through the bull shit so you don’t have to go through much, or any at all, to achieve the same results, in a dramatically shorter period of time.
#####
To reiterate the above points:
- I am not here to serve you. I am here to work with you to our mutual benefit. I expect the same respect I showed Keith Norris in Texas when he put me through a workout (video not yet released) that I would not normally have performed on my own. Keith was volunteering his time, effort, and knowledge to me – and I took full advantage of that and showed a well deserved level of respect by keeping quiet, listening closely, and doing as I was instructed to the best of my ability – even though I disagreed with parts of it.
- My nutrition and exercise habits have slowly evolved over the past few years – taking a major turning point about ~2 years ago in both arenas. I believe by working with me for 12 weeks, we can cut this time in 1/2, 1/3, or perhaps even less, without making any compromises.
Continuing on, the point of Dream Vitality is not to communicate with you for 12 weeks and wish you a fare well – it’s to make a permanent, lasting change in your physique and health, which necessitates a permanent, lasting change in the way you think.
Otherwise you will simply revert back to your old habits and results – likely due to social pressure, scrutiny and doubt from your family, and the general whim of people trying to impose their beliefs on you.
This is the way of the world at present, and while distasteful, it can be impressively hard to stand up to in the best of ways.
Never the less, I do not believe you have to tolerate having a body far from your potential – be it in the abnormally fat or abnormally thin direction.
Anyone telling you that “that’s just how you were born” – or anything to that effect – is totally and 100% ignorant on the relevant subjects, lying to you, or both.
Assuming you were born without a very real genetic defect, it is your right by birth to pursue and well within your potential to achieve a lean, healthy body, energetic life, and well developed musculature – completely free of easily avoidable dis-ease that everyone and their mother is suffering from in the 21st century.
You should not be suffering from
- Hunger pains
- Head aches
- Stomach aches
- “Jelly rolls”
- Man boobs
- Diabetes
- Cholesterol anxiety
- Training angst
- Constant depression
- Bleeding acne (yes, that was me)
- Difficulty sleeping
- Greasy/dry hair and skin
- Ankles thinner than my wrist (75% serious on this one)
or any other physical ailment for that matter — not resulting from traumatic injury, or defects present at birth.
The default state of man is one free of disease, period.
And if you align your diet and exercise habits with nature, you can, in a sense, return to this default state.
You are not a slave to the whims and opinions of the masses on healthy living, exercise, nutrition, or sleep (or anything else for that matter).
You can set yourself free with …
- A boat load of time on search engines
- Countless nights reading (and sifting through crap to find gems worth reading)
- A horrendous amount of money (see my $400+ dollar Whole Foods recpiet here)
Or, you can work with me and accelerate this process. You still have to read, you still have to think for yourself, and you still have to mess up – but you don’t have to do it alone, and you don’t have to spend as much time and as many resources as I did.
There is a better way to go about things, and that, is the essence of what I offer in Dream Vitality.

Conclusion
Dream Vitality is what I offer for those interested in effectively using my time, effort, and expertise to improve the quality of their lives. The cost is $750 for the course. No discounts are available, and nothing foundational is negotiable.
“Foundational” would include – but not be limited to – the 12 week duration of the program, and as a nutrition example, eating lots of animals.
In this sense, if you are a vegan, or otherwise not willing to eat lots of animals for a 12 week period, this program is not for you.
I will help you figure out how to live a healthy life within the parameters not currently malleable (read: outside of your control) in your life situation – such as what foods you have available at the local grocery store.
I will not help you figure out the least harmful way to poison and starve yourself by eating nothing but plant foods.
Or in plain text, I will not advise on anything that runs contrary to the basic premises I have accepted in a given field. Doing so would be a betrayal in the light of what I originally offered, and, a betrayal to myself.

You can sign up below. Currently, two spots are available. Three more will open up later this month.
Assuming your potential $750 was earned by you directly, I assume you can do basic math and figure out the total number of clients I will take at present is 5. While initially I wanted to take up to 10 at a time, having three proved to be a lot more time consuming than I originally anticipated, and I feel more than 5 would be dilute my effort substantially – beyond the point that I am comfortable with quality wise.
In light of this, the price will go up if the demand goes beyond what the current price moderates. I am not sure what the next price tier will be if this comes to frutition.
The price doubles regardless though if The 21 Convention is within 15 weeks of occurring. I am still willing to work with people during that time period (otherwise I would just refuse clients), but, my time goes from “extremely valuable” to invaluable during these spans of time.
Very little in this world matters more to me than the success of The 21 Convention. And while I enjoy digging for the truth in “health and fitness”, this pales in comparison to the joy I find in T21C.
Point being, if you are serious about improving your quality of life in the areas mentioned above, don’t procrastinate. There is enough reason not to wait de facto, let alone a doubling in price due to other responsibilities I have periodically throughout the year.
If you have questions about the course – and it is a course I offer, not a P90X quick fix magic pill for legitimate and potentially very serious problems – feel at liberty to contact me privately or comment publicly.
-Anthony/Dream
PS- nearly everything I advise goes against “the grain” and conventional thinking at it’s core. If you are not already mildly comfortable thinking and acting outside the box – to the degree that you actually listen to and implement what I advise – this program is not for you. Questions are expected and encouraged of course, but if I hear “Johnny Jimbo at the gym and my school dietician say different”, I think I am going to do a facepalm that leaves me unconscious.
* Inspired strongly by Dj Fuji’s DATE model

Spot-on, Anthony; you’ve nailed the coach/trainee relationship perfectly. As the trainee you absorb what is offered with an open mind — a clean slate, if you will — then, upon reassessment, you filter what you’ve learned through logic and a thorough understanding of your own personal needs, goals and abilities to reach a conclussion as to what knowledge ought to be retained, and what can be let go of. Human physiology is the same across the board, however, genetics and epigenetics tweak that physiology in ways that make every human a true n=1 experiment.
“Human physiology is the same across the board, however, genetics and epigenetics tweak that physiology in ways that make every human a true n=1 experiment.”
Bingo!
Do you have any recent pics. it would be nice for those considering the program to see what your training and diet has accomplished for you, over the course of two years…that is, as far as physique goes.
Nope. The picture at the top of the post was from the late Spring of 2009. I am about about 10 pounds heavier now (186 lbs). I am the same height as far as I know (5’10). Last I checked (Spring 2010), my legs were each over 27 inches around, measured just under my butt.
As far as I can tell, I am as lean, or perhaps even leaner now than I was then by a mild degree.
All in all, I don’t find it especially relevant though. As long as a physical trainer has some degree of results significantly greater than he did prior to his training, his advice is not *discredited*. Having “results” does not provide any meaningful degree of credibility though.
Tony Horton for example, is “shredded” and “jacked” by conventional standards, yet knows less than nothing useful about exercise, nutrition, and health. Drew Baye on the flip side, is one of the most knowledgeable trainers in the United States, yet looks fairly “average” at first glance.
Patrick Diver is another great trainer who looks “average”, or perhaps even skinny at first glance, yet goes into HULK mode when he works out, demonstrating a lot of strength, and a shocking degree of leanness according to Doug McGuff.
