If I get a phonecall tomorrow telling me I got the job I interviewed for the other day then I’ll treat myself to this set.

      : (

I didn’t get the job. It was a Research Tecnician post. The money would have helped significantly with funding my own research as I would have been earning double what I earn now. I got my hopes up on it so was rather dissapointed. I had it in my head that I was going to go straight to my crappy part time job at the bowling alley and pack it in.

The bowling alley job pays me shit all, cuts considerably into my time available for my PhD, has me working late hours and causes me no end of undue stress.

I went and kicked it in anyway.

      Uncertainty over unhapiness.

I also went into the Building Society were I also work. They had cut my over time (forcing me to find work at the bowling alley) and I went back in to see if they could guarantee me at least a days overtime in the week. They said they were 95% certain they could. Thats the uncertainty. It definately beats the unhapiness at the bowling alley. The Building Society pays me almost double the hourly wage at the Bowling alley, and only brings me away from my PhD one day a week plus saturday morning.

Worth the risk in my view.

        Cheer up, James!
How about you get the set anyway, on me? You can arrange your shipping address directly with Anthony. I’ll purchase and put a note in the shipping instructions to send to you. Is that arrangement cool, Anthony??

        I’m ordering Bill’s DVD for myself! Can’t wait . . .

Ok had to read that twice to double check. I am very grateful but couldn’t possibly accept without knowing why I deserved it.

Your comments on this blog are second to none by my judgement. While I do not speak for Joe, I think that alone more than warrants the set, should he wish to buy it for you as a gift (he has).

                • James Steele II February 23, 2011 at 10:13 am #

I’m very pleased if you have gained value from my comments Joe and I am very appreciative of the gift. You can be sure I will thoroughly enjoy it and will aim to keep on selfishly returning the value.

Anthony – Do you need me to email shipping details or do you have them due to my early ticket purchase? Cannot remember whether they were required or not.

                    James,
Hope this doesn’t come across wrong, but it had nothing to do with you, value gained from you, or expectation of return value from you.

I knew I wanted to purchase the set to show support to Anthony. The product itself (while I’m sure is great) would have been passed along to another person after I viewed them anyway (with hope that the content would be appropriately appreciated). Based on a few comments you posted, I do believe you will appreciate/enjoy the material.

It’s a win-win-win. I got to support Anthony; Anthony made a little $$; you got the DVDs you wanted.

I think James will understand this perfectly. Thank you for your support Joe.

                      Joe,

Thankyou for this explanation. I understand and truly appreciate your reasons for doing this.

                      Thanks

                James,

I do not know you so I have no clue if/what you “deserve”. You expressed interest in something, then dissapointment (on a few levels). I have the means to assist . . . it really wasn’t much deeper than that.

Hey man this looks like an awesome DVD-set, especially for someone like me who is just getting into the non-conventional wisdom approach to exercise and nutrition(Having just started doing the big five workout 2 weeks ago). I actually have one question that’s really been bugging me, when I do the leg press it feels like all the blood is flowing out of my legs giving the sensation that my leg is falling asleep, which is keeping me from going to positive failure. Is this a normal thing that will either a) go away or b) you just get used to it and go to failure anyway?

    Thank you
