Kurt Harris at The 21 Convention?

I invited Dr. Kurt Harris to T21C last year. From memory, he seemed mildly interested, but not nearly enough to spend the time to fly down to Orlando, regardless of covered travel and lodging expenses.

From what I understand, he is in the process of retiring. Hopefully come Summer, he will have the time to speak. ‘Hopefully’ because he is by far one of my top picks when it comes to nutrition.

And hopefully, considering what I imagine to be a very large influx of e-mail, this video is enough to push his interest over the tipping point if and when he comes across it.

Ide like to see this guy too, Tim Ferris, and Dave tate would also be pretty cool. Im curious to see some representative from powerlifting realms discuss strength, their protoclas run directly opposed to Mcguff/ baye and yet they lift the most- interesting…

( yea I know everyone wants Ferris right now, and he probobly costs a metric shit ton of money, but would be nice all the less)

The 21 Convention is not a forum open for every idea in existence to be presented. It is a vehicle for truth. 99% of “power lifters” are less than clueless as to what is actually causing their results, and how dangerous their sport really is — or the fact that what they are doing is even a sport, and not exercise.

I would no sooner have someone like Mark Ripptoe speak than I would Dean Ornish, Dr. Oz, or some clueless neo-con like Sarah Palin.

Yeah man, that would be really awesome

Kurt Harris is a JOKE. I’m embarassed that he’s a ‘doctor’. Thank GOD he’s retiring, before he hurts people with his dangerous ‘advice’.

If the 21 Convention did NOT have all the AMAZING puas and dating coaches, then I would NOT endorse it. THAT, is the only part of the Convention that I approve of. The nutrition/exercise speakers are a waste of time, and clueless to ‘truth’.

DUDE. I just watched that video. We’re NOT cavemen anymore. Grains date back to Adam & Eve. It’s called EVOLUTION.

You mentioned god, and adam and eve then cited evolution- you realize these are contradictory. There never has bin a god, nor will there ever be, same goes for adam and eve.

Kurt Harris would be an awesome addition

      facepalm lol

NO, they’re not. Early day cavemen existen for several million years, before Lucifer rebelled against God, destroyed the Earth, and became Satan.

God THEN repaired the earth, and created an evolved man–Adam, to be in His image.

SINCE then, man has evolved further in knowledge AND technology, to the level we are at today. Grains are technology.Creation AND evolution are true. CHECK YOUR FACTS, son.

Lets see some of these facts then…..

Kurt Harris seems like an incredibly intelligent guy. It would be great to see him speak.

Jay your a joke, creation is not true, nor has it ever bin, nor will it ever be.
The god you believe in doesnt exists, your parents lied to you, your friends lied to, you have bin living your life thinking something is true, when it is in FACT not. Your explanation is the most common example of delusional worshipers trying to mediate the differnace between the facts of science, and thier beliefs that they dont have to let go of.

Ask yourself this, what would have to be “true” or what would you have to “see” to understand that your white man with beard sitting on a cloud governintg over us, doesnt actually exists. See the God delusion, God is not great, and the end of faith.

I will not comment further on the matter, Im disapointed in myself for even engaging on the issue in the first place, Im cutting my losses, I dont care if you believe in santa claus or the tooth fairy or ghosts, zombies or gods, they’re all the same ( wait how come only the god u belive in exists, but all the others dont- ask every religois person this, the idiocy you encounter will remind you of yourself)

    YOUR WELCOME

You are ENTITLED to believe what you want. HOWEVER, based on your spelling and grammar of a third grader, I do NOT wish to argue w/ you.

I feel weird listening to myself ask this question, as Dr. Harris’ views on the subject of ketosis have changed so much since last July, as evidenced by his posts recent posts on the subject. Looking back, it also sounds like Doug McGuff sort of misinterpreted what I meant by ketosis, which was more about ketones in the bloodstream as compared to ketones in the urine.
