Mark Sisson and Doug McGuff MD Interviewed by Dr. Mercola

As you might guess, both are great. I’ve since invited Dr. Mercola to The 21 Convention. While I was not able to get in touch with him directly, I did get in contact with his press agent. Highly interested at first due to both Mark and Doug being alumni speakers, but lost interest when he found out there was not going to be ~500 people at the event. This is highly irrelevant long term due to the high quality video production + online video distribution, but this is almost impossible to explain to people not intimately familiar with web video.

It’s tantamount to explaining how detrimental minimum wage laws are to the poor, or explaining why corporate tax is an illusion to an OWS protester. I may or may not try to get in contact with Dr. Mercola directly, who I think would be a great speaker. I especially like how much he hates — and rightfully so — the FDA.

Tweet for the Doctor Who Can Change the World

Tweet for the Doctor Who Can Change the World

I’m really determined to make Doug McGuff’s speech at The 21 Convention 2010 the next “Sugar, the Bitter Truth” video (link). I am determined because I know the video has the potential to break into the hundreds of thousands of views, if not millions.

Doug’s ideas are truly revolutionary, because they are fully contrary to conventional wisdom on every level in this video. Not only are the ideas enough to spark a viewing stampede on Youtube, but Doug is unparalleled in his ability to communicate his ideas, in this field. Really.

His skill for condensing complex ideas down into something the lay veiwer can easily digest is bar none, the best in the world, in this field.

What can you do to support the doctor who can change the world? You can Tweet, a bunch. Specifically, a re-tweet of mine where Tony Robbins is mentioned along with the shortened Youtube URL of Doug’s speech.

Here is the Tweet.

Why this…

$50,000 Worth of Advertising in a Minute & 46 Seconds

$50,000 Worth of Advertising in a Minute & 46 Seconds

I was working on new attendance pages for The 21 Convention 2011 Europe and North America the other day. In the process of doing so I decided to grab* the best video-recorded comments from speakers and attendees. Naturally, I looked to our documentary series The Community Tapes (Tim’s episode is here).

Which is exactly when I came across the above gem from Tim. In one minute and forty six seconds, Tim paints a crystal clear picture of what The 21 Convention

  • is about
  • what it’s like being there
  • and the direction it’s heading in.

I could not ask for more from a speaker. Clear, to the point, and well spoken – not to mention, I think his age brings in another dynamic to the picture.

The passing of wisdom from one generation to the next.

Anyway, thanks Tim. The above means a lot to me – every bit of a…

16 Pounds of Muscle in 16 Months

From Florida to Sweden, doing the mind numbingly simple exercises you see above – about once a week (or less) – I built ~16 pounds of muscle in ~16 months time.

I did it with less dietary carbohydrate per week than most people eat in a single day, and more saturated fat per day, than some eat in an entire month.

In other words, I stimulated and allowed for the growth of ~16 pounds of new muscle, in direct opposition to the prevailing conventional wisdom.

99% of “personal trainers”, “body builders”, “nutritionists”, and “dieticians” would tell you what I have done is impossible, and quickly dismiss it as a lie, or superior genetics (labeling me an anomaly instead of the norm).

Indeed, quite the opposite is true.

  • What I have accomplished is very possible for the average joe.
  • I would sooner stab myself than lie.
  • I grew up a fat kid. While some parts of my…

Great Men of Our Time (Part 1)

Great Men of Our Time (Part 1)

It’s been said that there are three types of men in this world – men who wish to rule over others, men who seek to obey, and men who pursue freedom, independence, and their own visions and dreams with unmeasurable vigor.

The third type of man – the passionate men who shape the world we live in, the men who live their lives as they see fit (without intruding on the right of others to do the same), and accomplish great things in the face of all odds (often to our benefit) – is an increasingly rare breed.

Yet, not all hope is lost, as those men do indeed still exist. In fact, you are looking at three of them above as you read.

Pictured from left to right are Doug McGuff MD, Mark Sisson, and Bill DeSimone – men who’s work I was very familiar with and had a lot of respect for, before meeting them just this past July at The 21 Convention 2010 of Orlando…
