There are half a dozen upcoming events you should consider attending this year. In chronological order they include,
- PaleoFX 2012 (March)
- DDS 2012 (March)
- Primal Con 2012 (April)
- T21C 2012 (London) (June)
- T21C 2012 (Austin) (August)
- T21C 2012 (Melbourne) (November/December)
I’ll be at PaleoFX 2012, all three 21 Conventions, and there is a slim chance I’ll make it to Primal Con. Paleo FX is going to be the biggest out of all 6 events. Attendees, speakers, volunteers, and staff, they should break 500 people, which is insane.
What’s even more crazy is that it’s not just one event, it’s 4 events in one, simultaneously, for two consecutive days. It will be the biggest, and best organized Paleo event to date. And if you can’t make it, don’t worry, they won’t mess up the videos like AHS 2011 did. I’m personally making sure they come out awesome =).
As for T21C, a lot of people have asked me about speaking lists, because I have not released any of them yet. I will soon, but I am in no rush this year, not even for London which is ~4 months out.
I’ve realized it’s more important to build the lists, and focus on other areas of the business, than micromanage and continually release updated speaking rosters.
Plus, people this year are a lot more willing to purchase tickets without seeing a speaking roster than ever before, which I think is the ultimate testimony to the brand itself, as an end in itself. While it makes perfect sense to me as the founder, most people that learn of this, are in disbelief that anyone would buy tickets to an event with an unknown speaking lineup, let alone tickets that are $500 to $1200.
Pretty sure I have a brand most internet marketers would kill for with a dull pocket knife.
