I’ve gotten comments both online and in person about the fact that I am, and increasingly so, often times a total dick to commenters on this blog that I disagree with (especially if there is a lack of history and mutual respect between I and subject commenter).
But why is this?
Am I dick?
I don’t know. I don’t care. I never think in such terms. From what I understand however, most people that meet me are very surprised, in that I am not very loud, and not very mean. I’ve gotten a number of comments throughout my life actually, that (in various terms) I carry a gentle, and nice, general temperament.
Yet, online, I often come across as a raging asshole when arguing with people. So what’s the deal?
The deal, in large part, is this: I understand the nature of the enemy I am dealing with, and the more I understand it, the more power I pack in my punches.
The more I understand the irrationality of the men around me, the more ruthless I become in my dealings with such men.
Or, in short, I recognize that which appears benign and harmless, for the viciousness that it truly is.
And I make no hesitations about ripping it to fucking shreds. “Good intentions” are not harmless guys, the same way a 1% income tax is no less life threatening than a 99% income tax.
The same way a “military draft … for the right reasons” is no less dangerous and life threatening than military slavery for the “wrong” reasons: there is no such thing. Any reason you give is WRONG.
And so on and so forth. Selflessness, altruism, faith, force … all stem from the same, single, ultimate evil: the abandonment of man’s mind.
And when I recognize this act in others, I will not hesitate to rip you a new asshole. While there are such things as “differences in opinion”, I have the moral courage to recognize which differences end in differences of life and death. Most people don’t.
Most people are moral cowards that claim “to each his own” — WHEN DEALING IN MATTERS OF LIFE AND DEATH.
So when you see me attack someone in the way and to the degree they deserve for their irrationality, remember that it was the lack of that moral courage that has brought the greatest country on earth crumbling to it’s knees.
It was cowardice when there wasn’t open rebellion to a single % of income tax. It was cowardice when there wasn’t open rebellion during the gold confiscation of 1933.
And it was cowardice when the country stood by and watched Japanese Americans get herded into “war relocation camps”.
~~~
These acts required turning a blind eye to reality, to the mind, to life, and to mankind. Of course, these acts were only initiated by jolly do-gooders who wanted to “do better for mankind” and “the common good” — which is to say, wanted to perform acts of anti-life.
And these things only stem from the irrational — from contradictions. In thought, in action, in morality, and so on.
And I will never tolerate it on this blog, no matter how big, or especially, how small. Because it is the accumulation of those tiny acts in the seemingly most unimportant subjects, that amounts to a continual slide back into the dark ages where men deal with each other by means of faith, force, sacrifice, and slavery.
I do not want these things to exist, so much so, that I am actually willing to fight against them — and not feel a single ounce of shame about it.
Have you ripped anyone a new asshole for, in the words of Drew Baye, a good bit of dumb fuckery today?
I know exactly what you’re talking about brother! Down with altruism and irrationality.
actually there was widespread tax resistance to the income tax. This is documented in a volume, those dirty rotten taxes, which is currently sitting in a box in czech customs while they put me through 1000 miles of bureaucratic shit to prove the contents of the box are personal property-in other words while they do their best to extort me.
That said, you are quite right that the population does fuck all to prevent socialism and to that extent do not deserve to be free-i.e. they can hardly complain when they are enslaved. The UK is now a socialist hell-hole and I was unable to continue living there. thats because the exceedingly dim UK population tolerates socialist principles and politicians and toleration is a form of encouragement.
I don’t think they just tolerate those politicians and principles. Most actually vote for those socialist politicians and principles. Many thinking they are doing good for the country. Others don’t question things like income tax, because not paying income tax is outside of their reality. They haven’t known any other system and assume that’s just the way things are.
Pretty much all Canadians think it would be bad for guns to be legal in Canada. If I were to run for prime minister and even suggested that I was thinking of making guns legal in Canada, I wouldn’t stand a chance of winning the election. So I wouldn’t say they are tolerating socialism. They’re voting for it.
I disagree completely but, hey, to each his own.
People have hated me all my life for these reasons. But, people have loved me too. When you stand with integrity you act as a mirror for everything that someone else is – and there are plenty of people who hate to look in that mirror.
“1% income tax is no less life threatening than a 99% income tax.”
Um, err, yes it is. I can thrive on 1 percent income tax. I can’t even survive on 99 percent.
If only income tax were a mere 1 percent!
Youre completely missing the point — a 1% income tax cedes your right to exist for your own sake the same as a 99% income tax. You can’t be half pregnant. Either government has a “right” to confiscate your wealth or it doesn’t.
The US government is confiscating a lot more than just my wealth (of which I have virtually none and choose to keep it that way on purpose). Hence the comment I made under you 9/11 post.
“I understand the irrationality of the men around me”
You don’t understand jack shit. You just like to argue, even where there is no argument.
Just take a look at our exchanges.
You feel like you have to “fight” even when there is no opponent.
Its an emotion with you, not rationale based on experience or logical data.
You don’t know everything. You don’t need to pretend that you do.
