Young Men Pushing America (and the world) Forward

In 2012, you’re living in a dream world if you do not see the rapid slide towards complete and total collapse of society, of an orwellian flavor, on an unprecedented scale, and penetrating every level and arena of life. The world at large is approaching bankruptcy, already bankrupt, and in many cases, already well past bankruptcy.

The world has become intellectually bankrupt, morally bankrupt, culturally bankrupt, ethically bankrupt, financially bankrupt, emotionally bankrupt, politically bankrupt, epistemologically bankrupt, bankrupt of our health, of our physical well being, of our honesty, and of our integrity.

Any way in which you wish to put it, the world, in sum total, is bankrupt to the highest degree possible.

But is there still hope?

I would say yes. And it rests in young men. Not old men. Not middle aged men. Not young women. Not old women. Not middle aged women. Not children.

Young men.

Men who are physically healthy, psychologically mature, and who have not given up their ideals.

This could be an 18 year old, a 25 year old, or a 35 year old. The age is actually much less important than those specific attributes.

These are the men depicted in the bottom right hand corner of the picture above. The men cutting their own chains, and as a by product, everyone else’s as well.

These are the men who push the world forward, will continue to push forward, and are our best hope for avoiding or salvaging total collapse.

Young men who are creative, independent, honest, moral, passionate, aggressive, severely distrusting of government, of herd thought, disgusted with fiat money, with income tax, with infinite war, indefinite detention, and are supremely pissed off at what the world has handed them.

Which is nothing but a bottomless pit of lies and propaganda. The world owes you the right to be left the hell alone, to pursue your own happiness, your own values, live your own life, and live it the way you see fit. You have been “given” none of this. Young men have been given the exact opposite. Young men have been given a negative, they have had these rights stripped away before they were born, and in their youth.

And young men have every right to be absolutely fucking furious, to the point of taking any action necessary for the defense and assertion of their rights.

Hey Anthony, I always knew you were a few years ahead of the curve. Thanks for taking a stand for what you believe and helping to spread the light to as many people as possible. My guess is that you have seen/read some Mike Dillard? I have his course (let me know if you want a copy), and every time I see him, I’m like, “man, this guy looks just like anthony johnson” lol!

Keep it up bro, keep it up!

      Thanks.

Nope, never heard of Mike Dillard. Who is he?

Here is one of his projects: http://theelevationgroup.net/

He talks about things I think you have an interest and understanding in. I’m not sure how much is visible from him main site, but jump on his email list if you feel it.

I dunno, i would put my money on thirty and forty something men who have had their children and house taken away from them, and give much of their pay check to pay child support, these men are angry, feel helpless, and havn’t much to lose. Young men have hope for the future, and lots to lose by fighting, the old and middle aged have no future-that makes them dangerous.

its laughable that you think men would be able to do as good as job as women, if they could do 70% of the job of women I would surprised and impressed, women clearly have an edge in doing things, that matter in terms of progressing society. Every succuessfull society is so, primarily due to the mobilzation of women, look at every overtyl patriarchle society, and there male dominated and in squalor- the minute women learn to read in these socioties en masse, they begin to experiance growth. Your androcentric perspective on this equaly ignorant as it repulsive. Its crystal clear that you dont even know what you dont know about this topic.
Im just waiting for you to type “boys rule girls drool”
You run the best get laid+get ripped convention, and i love what you do with it ( although the get laid part could use some improvments)

You are deeply fucked up my friend.

      And I’m right.

Men push the world forward, regardless of how many cry in a corner, deny their own nature, and cover their self-hatred with statistics and a damning of existence.

“if they could do 70% of the job of women I would surprised and impressed, women clearly have an edge in doing things, that matter in terms of progressing society.”

The computer you just typed on? Guess who it was invented by. The fridges people store food in? The houses, or the apartments people live in? The medicines that fight illness and disease? The cars people drive? The phones they use? How about the furniture? Toilets, sinks, and showers? Heating and air conditioning? Planes? How about the machines it took to produce that stuff? Who invented it? Who worked on it?

What do you think has progressed society?

      • ben sima February 20, 2012 at 9:32 am #

Technically you’re just cherrypicking examples from history, which isn’t a good argument. You can do the same for women: marie curie, ayn rand, susan b. anthony, etc etc.

And you have counter examples everywhere: plenty of young men sit on their assess all day playing videogames and not giving two shits about the nihilism that is constantly trying to take over society.

MikeG makes a good point when he says that men had a monopoly on resources, etc, and thus produced most of the inventions. But to say that the whole world is in shambles BECAUSE of men is unjustifiable. Anthony’s point is simply that young men have a right to be pissed off because society seems to be sinking into a depth of nihilism. If you replace “young men” with “young women” then his argument still makes coherent sense (although he probably won’t agree).

I would say that progress is made by those youthful spirits that laugh in the face nihilism (a la Camus’ existentialism), harbor their youthful energy and ingenuity, and overcome societal oppression through creation of businesses, art, ideas, etc.

This whole issue of who leads society, men or women, is a false dilemma.

“Technically you’re just cherrypicking examples from history, which isn’t a good argument. You can do the same for women: marie curie, ayn rand, susan b. anthony, etc etc.”

That’s cherrypicking of women. Your argument is mistaken.

“MikeG makes a good point when he says that men had a monopoly on resources, etc, and thus produced most of the inventions. ”

And so how did the above cherrypicked women came about? How did men get monopoly on resources and why did they allow the above women? Why is that after Marie Curie and her daughter no women ever won a Nobel Prize even though resources dedicated to women skyrocketed?

You don’t seem to realize that women have not only to thank for inventions, but also for the whole system of human knowledge put in place by men that allows them to think and live as a human being in the first place and women like Marie Curie to have her name recounted more than men like James Maxwell.

“This whole issue of who leads society, men or women, is a false dilemma.”

and yet that is what the women’s movement that has finally found some use for women by women after “1000s of years of male oppression” is about. In less than a century it has led civilization into the gutter in the name of whatever shit they make up.

          • ben sima February 20, 2012 at 8:19 pm #

You seem to be claiming that men are the sole arbiters of all of existence, which raises many more questions than it answers. Who gave men this authority? To say it is “man’s natural authority” is to commit an appeal to nature, which is unfalsifiable and, frankly, vacuous. How could all men of all times have possibly conspired to suppress women? Your answer will require too much complexity and is easily cut down by Occam’s Razor. How did men acquire the resources and monopoly? The simplest answer is structural, not behavioral: men’s bodies are better at hunting, women’s better at gathering, and so our societal structure grew from men going out to hunt, to men going to the office to work; to say that this is how it ought to be is to stick your head in Hume’s Guillotine.

Also, my point with cherrypicking was that it can go both ways. You can cherry pick influential men, I can cherry pick influential women; and we get nowhere in the argument. It’s pointless to cherrypick such examples in support of a claim.

You conclude by claiming that the feminist movement “has led civilization into the gutter in the name of whatever shit they make up.” I mean, good luck providing support for that statement, buddy. I don’t think you realize the weight of that claim. Making such a gross generalization without any support seriously derails the rest of your argument.

All I want to say is that men tend to lead, and women tend to follow, but there are exceptions, and we should be aware and accepting of these exceptions. Even Dagny had to take control of the company from Jim.

            • namae nanka February 21, 2012 at 11:51 pm #

You don’t get it. Feminists behave as if all institutions fell from space, men ran into them because they are faster runners and locked the doors to them. Or that women would have brought about them too, some claim in the same time frame(or even quicker!), if they had a chance(?).

How about we apply the Occam’s razor here and say that these stupid vacuous POS called feminists are just power grabbers who make a mockery of history to achieve their aims. It kinda boils down to:
              http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egg_of_Columbus

The so-called women emancipation has just been asking, rather ordering men to hand over these institutions to women, and also to help women while doing so! Women can do everything that men can do, once men have instructed them how to.

              Some independence.

“Also, my point with cherrypicking was that it can go both ways.”

No it doesn’t go both ways. Exclude women from history and human progress will have a negligible amount to lose.
Look for the men who enabled these women to achieve, and also look for the men with similar or even greater achievements who don’t get a mention because they were not women.

“I mean, good luck providing support for that statement, buddy.”

I don’t intend to, for then the debate becomes about what is progress, what is civilization and all and sundry. Then we have we agree to disagree and all that schmaltz.

The Garbage Generation is a good book that has broadened my views on the subject, what the patriarchal religions wrought upon women and why it is insane to consider that women and marriage tamed men, instead of men and marriage putting women to better use.
It’s on the net, chapter 7, The Gilder Fallacy explaining the above and what feminists desired.

“Even Dagny had to take control of the company from Jim.”

Meh just another woman using her novels to satisfy her fantasy of alpha male carousel.

              • ben sima February 22, 2012 at 1:45 pm #

i think your view of feminism is a strawman (note that sexism takes the same logical form as racism and thus should be dismissed in the same way).

                http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/feminism-topics/#WhaFem

Also, i find it hard to be a man and hate women at the same time. Au contraire, i love women.

                • MC February 23, 2012 at 5:34 am #

Personally I don’t think a dislike for feminism has anything to do with a dislike for women. Many women themselves don’t agree with the movement, and many that do agree, only do so with the assumption that they were once oppressed and that the movement somehow gave them rights that they did not have. ie. the right to work, own a business, own property, or whatever else.

My dislike for feminism involves it’s support of bigger government. More welfare, and more government aid. The lies it perpetuates about oppression I don’t care for either.

There is a difference between being against feminism, and being against women working and having human rights. Try not to confuse the two.

                  • ben sima February 23, 2012 at 10:03 am #

point taken, but there’s a fine line between disliking feminist movements for political reasons and hating the women involved for being women (the latter is ad hominem and should be avoided.)

namae seems to be attacking women in general. like i said sexism takes the same logical form as racism (you have X quality, I have Y quality, therefore I am better). It’s just not logically sound.

        • MC February 20, 2012 at 8:36 pm #

          @ben sima

My argument wasn’t to state women were incapable of inventing something, or there aren’t female geniuses, scientists, engineers, artists or whatever. My point was to refute what he said when he said this:

“its laughable that you think men would be able to do as good as job as women, if they could do 70% of the job of women I would surprised and impressed, women clearly have an edge in doing things, that matter in terms of progressing society’

Whether you want to say men had a monopoly on resources or whatever else, doesn’t change that they have been the primary progressors of civiliztion. They still are the majority of inventors, whether it’s satelite technology or inventing facebook and google.

If you took away the advancements made by men, he’d be searching for leaves to use as toilet paper, trying to make a spear from bark, and trying to figure out how to light a fire, assuming he isn’t already dead.

          I found his post ignorant.

“The computer you just typed on? Guess who it was invented by. The fridges people store food in? The houses, or the apartments people live in? The medicines that fight illness and disease? Who invented it? Who worked on it?

What do you think has progressed society?”

MC, while most of us, including myself, would say these inventions have done a lot of “good” and “progressed society”, they are simultaneously the root of much of what’s wrong in the world today. Cell phones, computers require lithium, the reason we’re “at war” in Aghanistan. The cars require petrol, the reason we’re at war anywhere. I could go on and on. This ever increasing “progress” is dependent on an economy and way of life that is non sustainable, hence the collapse that Anthony is talking about in the first place. The premise of it is ever increasing growth, which you cannot get from limited, unrenewable resources.

Progressive minded women and men of today are therefore returning to the previous wisdom of humanity – local organic farming, local hunting-gathering, walking/biking instead of driving a petrol guzzling car, community pooling and bartering instead of living an isolated life with a fridge fool of condiments but no real food, etc. In other words, today’s progress means getting back to the simple small way of living instead of ever expanding materialism.

Men and women together progress society, and men and women together degress it.

We can either continue with non-renewable material expansionism in the name of progress or we can find ways to create a renewable and sustainable way of life. If more women than men come up with ideas for that, so be it. But in any case we shouldn’t be in denial of what got us here in the first place, and that is so-called “societal progress”.

For all those diseases we need magic pills to “cure” (symptom relief), the cause of the disease was in what was considered “progress” at the time.

Let’s not forget that with every good comes bad and vice versa. That’s the Yin/Yang reality of life.

        • Anthony Dream Johnson March 31, 2012 at 3:26 pm #

I agree with virtually none of this.

Saying the US is at war in the ME for lithium is like saying guns kill people. Guns do not kill people — people kill people. Accusing guns (or lithium in your case) as the root cause of a given action, is a complete disconnect from reality.

The same applies for oil, and just about anything else you can name.

Regarding “limited, unrenewable resources”, this is an intellectual cop out. Earth is not a zero-sum game of resources. Me drinking lots of water does not reduce the amount of raw material available to produce water on earth.

Progressive minded? This is code for “open minded”, which means anti-reason nonsense that asserts the idea that contradictions can exist in reality. Previous wisdom is another code for intellectual trash … few of our ancestors were practicing “local organic farming” on purpose.

They did it because they had no other options. It was the default. If it is right for us today it is incidental, not intentional. Attributing this to random farmers throughout history is a crime.

What the hell is societal progress? This sounds like the cultural corollary of a “social contract”.

Like in the political realm … I didn’t sign shit, and I never will.

Good never comes with bad, and vice versa. If good comes with evil, evil wins. If evil comes with good, evil wins. Evil means do not and cannot ever produce good ends.

While you seem well intentioned, your fundamental principles leave you less than clueless for life on earth. They leaved you poised to live a fucked up life and potentially hurt others in the process.

          • Siddhartha April 1, 2012 at 7:37 pm #

Never said lithium is the root cause of war. We are at war for resources, not any philanthropic ideals about liberating Afghanis or Iraqis from opressive political leaders or tribal warlords like the Taliban. That was a PR campain to get average American sheeple on board with yet another uber expensive and deadly imperialistic enterprise.

Resources can be harvested without war.

The rest of what you argued against was not clearly articulated nor representative of my ideas so I won’t bother addressing it.

          • Siddhartha April 1, 2012 at 7:58 pm #

            1.

“What the hell is societal progress? ”

If you reread my comment you will see that I quoted MC, the person who my comment is a reply to. I’ll copy and paste for your understanding here again. He wrote, ” “The computer you just typed on? Guess who it was invented by. The fridges people store food in? The houses, or the apartments people live in? The medicines that fight illness and disease? The cars people drive? The phones they use? How about the furniture? Toilets, sinks, and showers? Heating and air conditioning? Planes? How about the machines it took to produce that stuff? Who invented it? Who worked on it?

What do you think has progressed society?”

Reread that last line Anthony. In the context of MC’s comment, all of the above is considered “societal progress”.

            2.

“few of our ancestors were practicing “local organic farming” on purpose.
They did it because they had no other options. It was the default. If it is right for us today it is incidental, not intentional.”

You got the first part right then did a u-turn on the 2nd and got it backwards

This much is correct, our ancestors farmed organically by default and incidentally. Contrary to us those of us today who farm organically on purpose and with the specific intent to do so.

            3.

“Previous wisdom is another code for intellectual trash ”

Depends on your previous culture and its knowledge base. Mine produced many brilliant philosophers and mathematicians.

Men do not push the world forward go to the middle east and see men EXCULSIVLEY holding everyone back inckuding themselves,

Men are resposbile for the majority of inventions because they had a monoply on resourses/ time/ money and ideeas.

You think women and men were working side by side in woodshop and men just kept comming out with better products ? lol thats laughable. Men haad all the authority so they do all the creating of good and bad ideas, womens ideas never happend because they were to busy doing things they were “forced” to do by men. men doing 0% of domestic work and having a monoplogy on money is a great way to invent things. but its all changing and you get laid get ripped convention wont help this

The whole world is in a shambles right now, and its EXCLUSIVLEY because of MEN, men made this world reccession in GReece, Italy, USA, ireland etc. men fucked the world.

Africa is male dominated and like all other male dominated socities people thier are starving and dieing at 34 if thier lucky.

The countries that have avoided complete collapse during this time ? scandanavian countreis, Canada, Austrailia- very “femanized” countries, and very successfull, masculine countries are eating eachother.

These two sources wont overcome your mysogny and androcentrism, but at least youll know better- your welcome

“Men do not push the world forward go to the middle east and see men EXCULSIVLEY holding everyone back inckuding themselves,”

      – This is not the middle east. It never has been. Throughout history, “male dominated” or not, this has never been, and never will be, the middle east. So try and stick to what we’re talking about, instead of pointing to some world ghetto as some “proof” of your stupid, ignorant statement.

“Men are resposbile for the majority of inventions because they had a monoply on resourses/ time/ money and ideeas.

You think women and men were working side by side in woodshop and men just kept comming out with better products ? lol thats laughable.”

*- Men weren’t exactly working side bv side with women in the kitchen, yet they found ways to make kitchen work easier for women. Midwives were responsible for delivering babies, and when male doctors took over and started delivering babies, they invented the forceps and saved lives. Men’s minds are biologically designed to seek out solutions to a problem.

“Men haad all the authority so they do all the creating of good and bad ideas, womens ideas never happend because they were to busy doing things they were “forced” to do by men. men doing 0% of domestic work and having a monoplogy on money is a great way to invent things. but its all changing and you get laid get ripped convention wont help this”

*- The majority of men, were working 10-12 hours a day, doing construction, blacksmithing, factory/industrial work, working in mines, farming in fields, or other physically demanding work. They weren’t prancing around in meadows, reading poetry, spliting atoms, and inventing planes. When they got home with the money they needed for food, and shared it with their wives, their wives probably thought they’d cook the food to show appreciation for the hard work, and to earn their stay at home.

Do you think the women were capable of doing the same work the men were doing, as efficiently, as the men were doing? Technololgy might have you forget, but the work that existed 250 years ago, or even a hundred years ago, was a lot more physically demanding and dangerous then the work of today. There wasn’t a plethora of service jobs. I suppose if the men handed the women the hammer for 12 hours of iron work, and told them they’d handle cooking the steak, you’d be overjoyed at their generosity?

“The whole world is in a shambles right now, and its EXCLUSIVLEY because of MEN, men made this world reccession in GReece, Italy, USA, ireland etc. men fucked the world.”

*- I’m disgusted at those men. Those men are not a representative of men. What they do, is not at the benefit of men or women. For every evil man, their are more willing to fight that evil, then there are evil men.

“Africa is male dominated and like all other male dominated socities people thier are starving and dieing at 34 if thier lucky.”

*- A world ghetto run by dictators. Correlation does not equal causation. Just because men are firing their guns, does not mean that men are their problem.

“The countries that have avoided complete collapse during this time ? scandanavian countreis, Canada, Austrailia- very “femanized” countries, and very successfull, masculine countries are eating eachother.”

*- I don’t think you know what you’re talking about. If America goes down, so does Canada. Health care and welfare are not helping us. If it weren’t for our natural resources, we’d be in a lot more trouble right now. I don’t know what you consider a “feminized” society? Is it the becoming of a service country, health care, welfare, and the decline in manufacturing, with many in-Canada companies and corporations, based in America?

“These two sources wont overcome your mysogny and androcentrism, but at least youll know better- your welcome”

*- I didn’t thank you. I don’t think you know the meaning of the word “misogyny.” You claimed that you’d be surprised and impressed if men could do even 70% of the work done by women in terms of progressing society. I argued your stupidity. No misogyny there. Just a dislike for your stupidity.

Perhaps you were speaking of yourself, and meant “if MikeG could do even 70% of the work done by women in terms of progressing society, you’d be surprised and impressed.”

Maybe I can help you. In the ted talk, Zimbardo observes a structural problem: society & video games, etc, shorten our attention spans, get us addicted to porn, and so on. Okay, I can agree with that, especially given his evidence.

However, you then go on to claim that the solution to this “demise of men” is behavioral. You say that Zimbardo’s data proves that women do a better job than men in all things, and so we should let women rule. Disregarding the fact that Zimbardo’s data proves nothing of the sort, the biggest issue is that you can’t identify a structural problem and then propose a behavioral solution.

Zimbardo even says in his conclusion of the talk that we need *real* men, that can spend quality time with women and “make love slowly”. His claim is that our consumption-driven societal structure has driven us astray from what men properly do, from our proper behavior. The fix, then, would be to overhaul the structure that is causing problem, not change our behavior. In fact, I completely agree with Zimbardo.

The book and speech, have nothing to do with what we were talking about. Guys slacking off, playing too many video games, and watching too much pornography wasn’t exactly the topic of discussion.

If that’s what you were basing your original statement on, then that was very stupid of you. Since we are literally on a blog dedicated to striving for the ideal. Anthony’s blog and convention will help more men change their lives, and be better for it, then those two links you sent me.

So bringing up men that are slacking off and having their mothers do everything for them isn’t exactly playing to the crowd.

    “playing too many video games”

    Q. What’s the solution?

Ms. MacLean: At both the educational level and the business level, we have to come up with games and contests that appeal to first- and second-grade girls. Not car and war games. Let them design games that change the world, or save the planet.

There hasn’t been a decline of men, it’s been the emasculation of boys while growing up and turning them into dysfunctional adults. Shameless feminists and their blatant desire to copy men, to work tooth and nail to make girls match upto boys, even in sports, dispirit boys and place them next to girls in school so that they can do both with their control of learning centres and then hilariousy proclaim that lo and behold we have no gender differences

People like MikeG believing their stupid propaganda rather than using their own brains. That 1950s housewife with all her spare time and the discontent of wives in Feminine Mystique, and these super intelligent women couldn’t even build up a women’s Harvard or women’s MIT but would rather be the first woman at so and so, then use affirmative action and call the SAT sexist.

“men made this world reccession in GReece, Italy, USA, ireland etc. men fucked the world.”

yo dude, a woman invented the Credit Default Swap. Blythe Masters. That kinda was the biggest fuck-up of the recession.

Oh wait, a woman invented something, see patriarchy if only you had given women maternal leave earlier we would have been so far ahead…

Hopefully young women will bring down the academia and prick the Sallie Mae bubble next, and we all will hee haw at the fall of patriarchy, or whatever.

Hi Anthony. I noticed in your video you were wearin a t-shirt that said, “no yoga….”

Yoga is not an exercise regimen. Its one of the 6 major philosophical systems of South Asia.

    The philosophical schools of thought are;

    1.Sankhya
    2.Vedanta
    3.Yoga
    4.Nyaya
    5.Purva Mimamsa
    6.Vaisheshika

Asana, the part of yoga which deals with body movement, is just one small part of YOGA, and the least important. What passes as yoga in the west is not yoga but simply asana.

    The school of Yoga has 8 parts;

    1. Asana
    2. Pranayama
    3. Yama
    4. Niyama
    5. Pratyahara
    6. Dhyan
    7. Dharan
    8. Samadhi

It would be more accurate if the west started labeling asana as asana instead of yoga.
