As far as I am aware, this is the first introduction to Objectivism filmed in a long, long while. The presentation was given by none other than James Steele II at The 21 Convention 2011 of London England. After my own, it was the opening speech at the event, and perhaps the most controversial.
Per the speech itself, I think James did an outstanding job with Rand’s philosophy. In fact I would go so far as to say that if Ayn were alive, she would be glowing with pride and admiration for a man so young to have not only discovered her philosophy, but to have come to understand it so clearly in such a short amount of time — and communicate it effectively to a new generation of bright young men, in his own interest, and for his own sake.
This speech doesn’t just do Objectivism justice, it does Ayn herself justice — a woman who fought tooth and nail her entire life for the supremacy of man’s mind, the sacredness of his happiness on earth, and his unalienable right to his own life and liberty.
If and when you run into James in person, buy him a beer — or bottle of raw milk ;). He’s earned it.
