After yesterday’s seminal newsletter on women going to work, I wanted to expand on marital rape which was explored in the second half of that newsletter.
For any bird brains that have been living under a rock or otherwise skipped history class, for most of American history it has been fully legal to rape your wife. Indeed this is true for most of world history, not just the United States.
The first country to criminalize marital rape was the communist shithole Soviet Union in 1922. In other words and in terms of its origination it is a historically communist idea to criminalize the act of marital rape - to deprive a man the sacred right of raping his own wife.
