What’s up man,
Welcome back to The Dream Lounge, the #1 apex alpha male newsletter blog in the world.
Today I wanted to share two videos with you.
The first above is a short news clip from my recent appearance on Gulf Coast News. The full interview was about 10 minutes I think, the clip above are the segments they found most compelling.
In the video I review thoughts on my mother’s brutal murder, my brother’s alleged escape plan to Costa Rica (like me he also has a hooker ex-girlfriend), and my father’s legacy of violence spanning about 40 years in Lee County Florida.
As you all know my mother was just murdered in an extreme act of domestic violence, after suffering in silence for decades from domestic violence at my father’s hand. My brother Devin Johnson has also been arrested several times more recently for domestic violence against her. Police are well aware of this in reviewing the full context of her death.
While my mother, myself, and my older sister are non-violent people, my younger sister sadly, Renee Caney (formerly Johnson) has a well documented history of violence in Lee County, including against me personally in one instance. Renee’s pattern of violence as evidenced by her arrest record spans over a decade in fact.
In this example mugshot she was arrested for domestic violence against me in 2010.
I’ve been greatly concerned about additional violence from her against me or my family ever since. She’s my baby sister and I love her but yeah, it’s a difficult relationship to say the least.
The violence doesn’t stop there, she was arrested on similar charges once again in 2012.
The violence continues much more recently in this example from 2022, which eventually resulted in a civil lawsuit against her and her (now deceased) husband Michael Caney.
This latest mugshot was a lot more serious, escalating the charges to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to eye witness accounts, police reports, a sworn affidavit from a key witness, my brother in law Michael calling me and telling me what happened, and a written account of what happened from her mother in law Carolyn Caney, it was a brutal, bloody, and violent night.
Michael eventually called the state prosecutor I was told and begged them to “let their family get back to normal”. Michael and Carolyn refused to cooperate with state prosecution, which is common for battered husbands and battered wives.
So they dropped the case, when Renee was facing years if not decades in prison for these alleged crimes.
Michael then died of a drug overdose about a year later, which was one of the main causes of action in our civil lawsuit. That my nephews were consistently around deadly drugs and domestic violence, at 3 and 4 years old.
Here are some of the crime scene photos taken by the key witness, including of the knife, the home, and one injury on Carolyn. I heard conflicting reports about the injury on Carolyn, whether it was from a dog attack or a knife. One medical doctor looked at it for me and suggested that it was not from a dog bite, but I am not a doctor, so who knows.

Pretty wild stuff.
12 years and 3 arrests for violent crimes.
I hope she gets the help she needs, but it’s a rough situation. Domestic abusers and violent criminals tend to surround themselves with enablers, as my father did for 40 years. They make the already difficult job of law enforcement nearly impossible, until the unthinkable happens as in my mother’s case.
What you’re seeing in essence is a legacy or cycle of violence that my father has passed on to two of his children. Devin’s alleged murder is quite recent, and he was a documented domestic abuser before that in his arrest record.
The same is true with Renee, her arrest record documenting repeated violent crimes, including against me personally when she attacked me.
My wife Allyssa of course is well aware of this history and always on guard for the risk of violence from Renee. It is sadly a curse that my violent alcoholic father has left on our family, and taught us all by his example for 40+ years.
Our situation is not unique. In my understanding this is quite common among families that suffer from domestic violence, drug abuse, and other violent crime issues.
I don’t even know how many times my father beat my mother, me, and my brother in gross total. If I had to guess I would say 200+.
Now below is the church incident video I promised. This was recorded with permission from St. Andrews church, catching this incident was by chance.
Renee had been trying to prevent me from attending our own mother’s memorial and funeral for days by this point, which I did not appreciate. She was notably hostile about me reading any eulogy at all at any of the funeral events, such as this funeral mass (the first half of her funeral day 09/27/2025).
In this case the church had approved me reading my eulogy, with their director even double checking with the priest. I was good to go and told to sit in a specified area near the podium before I read my eulogy.
A Eulogy for my Mother, Rosemary Johnson
As many of you know my mom was murdered recently by my younger brother Devin Johnson. Police have since revealed in court that he stabbed her over 100 times, bought a plane ticket to Costa Rica after the murder attempting to flee the country, and at some point around the crime purchased bleach and paper towels at a nearby grocery store.
Renee was very upset by this. I told her to leave me alone, I’m not dealing with you right now, go away. She stormed away as you’ll see. My wife Allyssa was upset by her harassing me over this and said in a church-appropriate, soft tone “Anthony can speak if he wants”.
No kidding. It’s my mother’s funeral and the church double approved me to speak, any minute.
At this point Renee is tip toeing on tortious interference.
As you’ll see, Renee responds in a way that I think any sane person would describe as verbally and physically aggressive, creating a well founded fear in my wife due to Renee’s history of domestic violence, knife attacks, and assault.
Renee gets closer and closer to my wife and two year old daughter, putting my baby Charlotte in the potential of serious danger. Renee is quite big boned as you’ll notice.
Have a look.
Sticking your finger in someone’s face in Florida this aggressively is potentially a crime in Florida, while also yelling at them in a house of worship.
For my part on the left hand side of the video, I do fear serious bodily harm for my wife and especially my daughter. She is so small she could be injured or killed just by accident, such as Renee’s large body falling on her.
I stand up and move closer, concerned about Renee pulling a knife or deadly weapon, as she allegedly did in 2022 against her husband. I was in fact preparing to defend my family and neutralize any threat to them with equal or greater force as the law permits in this state.
As you see in the video, the funeral director and Cape Coral Police quickly intervene and escort Renee outside. The fact that she hired these cops is quite bizarre. After calming her down for 5-10 minutes, the church and police agree to allow her back inside and she does remain calm for the remainder of the funeral church mass.
It is quite a sight to see watching your baby sister get escorted out of church by uniformed law enforcement carrying firearms. This is the same church she was baptized in - I was there for it.
But watching her get so physically and verbally aggressive against my family, knowing her long history of violence including battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon… it’s alarming to say the least.
My mother I’m sure would have been embarrassed beyond words to see her own daughter get escorted out of church by police at my mother’s own funeral mass.
If you look closely at the video you’ll even catch me making the sign of a cross for the first time in well over a decade. A “hail Mary” move wondering if Renee is about to be arrested by the cops after that incident.

The memorial fund I setup is still available here.
Thanks for reading and watching.
I will continue to advocate against the evils of domestic violence and the tragic cycle of violence my father has apparently cursed my family with as evidenced by public court records.
